Traditional Thai Massage is a therapeutic bodywork practice rooted in Thailand's traditional healing heritage. Unlike conventional oil massage, it typically combines rhythmic pressure, assisted stretching, joint mobilisation and gentle body movements. The therapist uses their hands, thumbs, palms, forearms and, where appropriate, other techniques to work along traditional Thai energy pathways known as Sen lines. This treatment is designed to help release muscular tension, improve flexibility and promote a sense of balance throughout the body — often described as a combination of massage, assisted stretching and mindful movement.
Clients experiencing muscular tightness, reduced flexibility, general physical fatigue or stress-related tension.
Important: Thai massage may not be appropriate for clients with certain injuries, recent surgery, osteoporosis or specific medical conditions. Stretching and pressure are always adapted to individual suitability.
Targeted Therapeutic Treatment for Muscular Pain & Dysfunction
A focused hands-on treatment addressing muscles and soft tissues associated with pain, tension and movement restriction. Following assessment, techniques are selected according to the client's presentation rather than providing the same routine for everyone.
A targeted massage using slow, controlled pressure and soft-tissue techniques to work with deeper layers of muscular tension. Pressure is adjusted to the individual rather than simply making the massage as strong as possible.
Gentle Therapeutic Touch to Support Lymphatic Function
A gentle, rhythmic treatment using light specialised movements to encourage the natural movement of lymphatic fluid. Unlike deep massage, the technique uses carefully controlled pressure and is designed to be calming and comfortable.
